With harvest coming to an end, we have more time to send our wines out for reviews by folks like the editors at Snooth.com. If you are planning to enjoy some shellfish over the holidays, these two wines are a great place to start.
2013 Winter’s Hill Estate Dundee Hills Pinot Gris
“Vanilla, green apple and pear aromas with a bit of minerality. In the mouth it’s quite tart with Meyer lemon, grapefruit, and peach leading the charge and a touch of fresh green apple and pear finally finishing with a bit of an herbal note and a touch of cream.” Snooth Editorial 12/9/15
2014 Winter’s Hill Estate Dundee Hills Pinot Blanc
“Mineral and saline notes on the nose with dried apricot and green apple. In the mouth it’s quite acidic and full of citrus flavors, mostly lemon and grapefruit with more saline and a bit of emollience coming later on in the form of a silky mouthfeel.” Snooth Editorial 12/9/15
