The Vineyard in Winter at Winter’s Hill

Come take a winter walk in the vineyard. Think about the grapes recently harvested and anticipate the coming year. Pruning will start soon so all will be ready for bud break sometime in March. While every year is different the last few have brought early bud break & before that moment plants need to be pruned, trained, the prunings flailed and an early spraying completed.  Time is of the essence. So come take a walk first and enjoy the sights. You’ll find some exposed bird nests in the barren vines. There will be the stems of unpicked grapes. Enjoy!

There is always something to be seen in the vineyard. When the sun shines in the winter it becomes special.
