“Oregon has never had three consecutive vintages like this,” said Dick Shea of Shea Vineyards. “There were bigger berries in 2014, and they really ripened up. This encouraged the blue component in the color and flavor. The grapes were smaller in 2015 and there was more heat at harvest, which made for more black fruit flavors. The 2016s also had small berries, and we thought it would be identical to 2015. In the fermentations, the wines showed more aromatic lift and less tannins. They’re more elegant.” -Wine Harvest Report 2016, Harvey Steinman, Wine Spectator, October 2016.

The Beautiful Pig will be here sampling their locally sourced and made charcuterie.

Rosé Release & Vertical Tasting Party
Jun 17 @ 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

You are invited to join us to celebrate the release of the 2016 Rosé of Pinot Noir!

We barrel ferment our Rosé of Pinot Noir in neutral French oak because it gives the Rosé a bit more body, and more complexity.  The oak also allows the Rosé to develop more as it ages. In order to best experience the difference we will be sampling a vertical our our Rosés. We will have a few cases of the 2014 & 2015 vintages to sample and purchase as well as the new 2016.
