Winter’s Hill Supports Yamhelas Rails to Trails

Winter’s Hill is excited to be working with members of the Oregon Wine-country Communiity to create an 18 mile biking and hiking trail on the right-of-way of the old Union Pacific Railroad.  This intact right-of-way represents an extraordinary resource for both visitors and locals alike.

As soon as we learned about this project, we knew we wanted to help.  We decided to make a a $4 donation each time a customer purchased one of our special packages of Pinot noir.

Thanks to our generous customers, we are pleased to announce that we have raised $848 to contribute to to the planning and development of this great resource.

Running North from Lafayette through Carlton, Yamhill, and Gaston, the route links wine-country towns while traversing unspoiled farmland in the Yamhill Valley.  For a birds-eye view of the route, watch this video using Google Earth images:
