2013 Pinot Blanc paired with Seared Ahi Tuna



This easy tuna recipe is the perfect main dish to pair with the 2013 Pinot Blanc. The fresh flavor of the fish highlights the bright fruit characteristics of the wine. We hope you enjoy!

Seared Ahi Tuna


  • 2 five ounce ahi tuna steak
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon whole peppercorns


  • Season the tuna with salt and cayenne pepper
  • Melt butter with olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
  • cook the peppercorns in the mixture until they soften and pop (about 5 mins)
  • Gently place the seasoned tuna in the skillet and cook to desired doneness (1.5 minutes per side for rare)

Serve with favorite dipping sauce such at soy sauce. Enjoy!
