2013 Pinot Noir Barrel Tastings & Futures

Barrel SamplesThis weekend is your first chance to sample and purchase 2013 Pinot Noir. The barrels for the 2013 Futures tasting have been selected, and you are in for quite a treat this weekend!

In 2013 we had an early spring and long mild summer that had us on track for an easy and early harvest. Through years of experience we have learned to expect twist and turns when things seem easy, and rightfully so. September brought with it cooler temperatures, and a huge rain storm right in the middle of harvest. With quick work we were able to be proactive, and get the vineyard sorted before the skies opened up and the rain came tumbling down. Our vineyard work, and the rains added a bit of extra character to the 2013 vintage. Combining that with a little love in the cellar we have some outstanding Pinot Noir to offer you.

We will be sampling Block 9 Pommard Clone and Block 10 Pommard Clone. Block 10 is partial whole cluster fermentation. If you like the wine you will be able to purchase by the case. These wines will continue to age in barrel until April 2015, and once bottled we will notify you. You will then be able to pick up at the winery or we can ship to you. If you cannot make the event this weekend you will be able to purchase the futures at our online wine shop.

These wines are normally $528 per case ($44 per bottle). Futures are offered at a 30% discount, and are $369 per case.

Block 10 is extremely limited with only 22 cases available. It is partially whole cluster fermentation.

Block 9 has 65 cases available.
