Last week’s wintry weather forced us to reschedule our Rosé Release – the first event of the season – to this Saturday, Feb 22. When it comes to both events and winemaking, Mother Nature is always in charge! (This is a lesson we have learned many times over the past 34 years…)
If you haven’t done so, please make a reservation, or contact us and we’ll take care of the rest. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the winery!
A Fondue Favorite
If you can’t join us on Saturday, here is a fondue recipe for you to try at your own celebration(s). We have tried many cheeses over the years, and substitutions do work if you don’t have Gruyere or Swiss on hand. But don’t skip the wine(!). The natural tartaric acid in wine prevents the cheese’s casein proteins from clumping together and turning the fondue into a stringy, broken mess. Please take my word for it!
Cheers!
