Our Holiday Winemaking Surprise!
Most of our Pinot gris is sold by the glass in Oregon restaurants. Demand has been high – in fact this year it was so high we almost ran out of the 2023 vintage. Of course this happened before the new vintage was ready!
So Chris and I jumped into action last week and prepared 200 gallons of the 2024 vintage for immediate release. This required clarifying the wine to prevent any sediment, and a light filtration before filling the kegs.
I hope you’ll look for the Winter’s Hill 2024 Pinot gris at a restaurant this holiday season – it is enticing! As for the Pinot noir, Pinot blanc, and Chardonnay, well, that wait will be a bit longer.Cheers!
