González Pinot noir

Just Arrived!

Each year, we purchase a new French oak puncheon specifically for our González Pinot Noir. The 2025 puncheon arrived just a few weeks ago—but as of now, we haven’t yet decided which wine will go into it.

That choice comes later, during harvest, when Chris and I select the vineyard block (or blend of blocks) we believe has the potential to become the next vintage of González Pinot Noir.

Anticipating the 2022 González Pinot noir

For the 2022 vintage, we selected clone 115 Pinot Noir from Block 9—and the results are fantastic. After a year of aging in barrel and two more years in bottle, this wine is ready to shine.

On the nose and palate, red fruit flavors like cherry and pomegranate take center stage. The new puncheon adds both flavor and texture, while keeping the tannins soft and well-integrated. The wine’s structure enhances its flavor without overpowering it, leading to a long, lingering finish with a subtle hint of cocoa powder.

This is a wine to savor—new aromas and flavors continue to unfold as it opens up in the glass. Visit us at the winery for a taste or find it online.
