How long will my wine stay fresh after I open the eco-pack?2023-09-10T14:49:42-07:00

After opening, your wine will remain fresh for at least a month.

How long will wine last in the eco-pack?2023-09-10T14:49:42-07:00

We have done testing and lab analysis, and we are confident that the wine will last at least one year without a decrease in quality.

At what temperature should the wine be stored before being opened? After being opened?2023-09-10T14:49:42-07:00

For best quality, store your wine in a cool room that does not experience wide swings in temperature.

After opening, store your wines at the temperature that you enjoy drinking them. Store wines in the refrigerator if you enjoy them chilled.

Sustainability

Is there a deposit?  Are these bottles included in the Oregon Bottle Bill?2026-07-28T10:47:19-07:00

Not at this time, but Winter’s Hill Estate and many Oregon wineries support including wine bottles in the bottle bill.  The Bottle Bill is due for renewal in the upcoming legislative session, so pay attention and let your representatives know how you feel.

If you want to learn more and make your voice heard, Zero Waste McMinnville, Waste-Free Advocates and Upstream are great resources to learn more about increasing reuse and reducing waste.

Where are the bottles made?2025-01-15T16:51:47-08:00

The bottles are manufactured in North America by O-I Glass utilizing above-industry-average recycled content.

Can I bring my other bottles and cans to Winter’s Hill Estate?  2025-01-15T16:50:38-08:00

No thanks :)

Do the Revino bottles really get totally clean?2026-07-28T10:52:44-07:00

Yes, Revino has state-of-the-art equipment to remove the label, clean and sanitize the bottle, and check for any cracks or defects.  In other parts of the world, bottles have been washed and reused for decades, so they didn’t need to invent new technology.

Can I really get a free tasting if I bring back a 12 bottle case of empties?2025-01-15T16:49:21-08:00

Yes! We want to thank you for doing your part to bring the bottles back to be reused.  The system only works if we work together.

Other Oregon wineries are also using these bottles.  Can I bring those empties back to Winter’s Hill Estate?2025-01-15T16:48:39-08:00

Yes! As long as you bring the bottles to Winter’s Hill or another of the Revino collection locations, they will get washed and delivered to a winery to be refilled.

What if I live outside of Oregon and I can’t return the bottle?2025-02-11T11:50:57-08:00

That’s ok, recycle it with your other glass.  It’s understandable to worry about the bottles that don’t get reused, but remember, we’re improving on a system where NONE of the bottles are reused.

Let’s start by collecting and reusing the bottles sold in Oregon, then build out from there.

In the meantime, be an ambassador for reuse in your community! Ask for reusable dishes at your local cafe or local restaurants and follow zero-waste groups in your area.
