Pinot Blanc Oregon is just around the corner – have you grabbed your ticket? The team and I are thrilled to be hosting again this year and can’t wait to share our passion for this incredible grape with you. Join us, alongside 13 other local Willamette Valley wineries, each offering a unique interpretation of Pinot Blanc.
While the focus is on a single varietal, you’ll find an impressive range of styles from the participating wineries. From sparkling to dessert wines, and a variety of fermentation and aging techniques, this tasting promises to be an enjoyable day of discovery!
Benefitting Willamette Valley Wine Foundation
This year Pinot Blanc Oregon will be featuring and supporting the Willamette Valley Wine Foundation. The Foundation is a remarkable organization, but I particularly admire two aspects of their work.
First, they don’t duplicate other organizations by providing services themselves. Instead, they identify groups who are already delivering culturally sensitive solutions, and they find ways to help them serve more people.
Second, by taking a big-picture view, they identify projects that can help our community in multiple ways. A good example of this is their work in training early childhood educators. By supporting the Primeros Pasos program, the benefits multiply through the community:
- Pre-school children receive higher-quality care and education
- Childcare providers increase their income through business training and certification
- Parents can go to work with greater peace of mind and satisfaction
- Employers benefit from a more stable and productive workforce
