Hazel, the Kune Kune pig, at Winter's Hill Estate

Luciano and the crew finished pruning last week, so now the vineyard is ready for Spring whenever it arrives. The grass is growing fast, but so far the buds have not begun to swell.

Spring Club Shipments

We are beginning to pack the Spring club shipments for our members who live in Southern states. If you are a member, you can find your upcoming shipment in your account, and customize it with your favorite wines. If you have questions or need assistance, just let us know.We do have older vintages of some of our wines, reach out if you are looking for something in particular.

The First New Release to Start Spring

Coming up in March, we are releasing the first edition of Trop, our Port-style wine. The origins of this wine go back to 2017 when we collaborated with Stone Barn Brandyworks to create a brandy from 100% Pinot noir. Since then, the brandy has been aging in oak barrels and getting more delicious with each passing year. In 2023 we used the brandy to create a Port-style wine with Pinot noir from our vineyards.

After so many years of waiting, we are excited to share the wine with you on March 21. Make a reservation to join us, and if you can’t be here in person, watch your inbox for your first opportunity to place an order.

Our Newest Team Members

Last summer we added Kune Kune pigs to Winter’s Hill Estate. The official reason is that they provide natural rodent control and help cycle nutrients in the soil. Unofficially, they are pretty cute.

This week Hansel had an itch that really needed scratching, check the video. They are currently grazing about 5 minutes from the winery, you are welcome to walk down to say hello on your next visit.
