About our Rosé of Pinot noir
For the past 20 years we have created a classic Rosé using 100% Pinot Noir from our estate vineyards, and this vintage may be the best one yet! After harvesting the fruit by hand, we removed the stems and let the fruit soak overnight to extract the first hint of color from the skins. The next morning, we pressed it gently and kept the juice cool during a slow and gentle fermentation. Cool fermentation temperatures help to preserve the aromas of the wine, and I think you will agree when you pour the first glass. Fruit harvested October 21, 2022. 224 cases produced.
We only make a limited quantity of Rosé each year, and it usually sells out by mid summer. The best way to assure your supply every year is to join our Rosé Allocation Club. Members receive 3, 6, or 12 bottles of Rosé when it is released each year in early March. Shipping is free for members, and you will also be eligible for other benefits such as wine discounts, complimentary shipping, and first notice of special offers and events. Join Today!
Tasting Notes
Bright and fresh on the nose with scents of grapefruit, citrus and flowers. The taste is crisp and refreshing with flavors of strawberry, grapefruit, white pepper and sweet and sour balance.
2021 vintage “This could be the textbook for great Rosé of Pinot Noir, here sourced from the estate vineyard in the Dundee Hills. Jam-packed with inviting aromas and juicy flavors of pomegranate, raspberry and sweet cherry fruit, it’s perfectly set up with ample acidity and a long clean finish. Barrel fermentation adds nice hints of toast and cinnamon as it trails away. Simply delicious!” Paul Gregutt. PaulGWine.com
2020 vintage “Vivid pink. Potent red berry, tangerine and floral scents are sharpened by hints of dusty minerals and a touch of white pepper. Chewy and sharply focused on the palate, offering fresh red currant, cherry and blood orange flavors that steadily flesh out on the back half. Finishes long and spicy, with repeating red fruit character and lingering florality.” – Josh Raynolds 90 points. vinous.com
