Join owner Emily Gladhart and Master Melittologist volunteers here at Winter’s Hill to explore the various bee-friendly plantings throughout the property. The Melittologists will be conducting a bee safari and will help you identify the current season’s bees. Our native plants and oak woodland will also be tour highlights!
Then, after the .5 mile walk, enjoy a wine tasting on the patio. A no host pizza truck will be on site. Reservations are required – 11:00am & 1:30pm This has become one of our favorite summer traditions and we hope it will become one of yours, too!
Try this Bee-Friendly DIY Project
We’ve all been there…it’s a warm summer evening with great company and beautiful wine. It’s all bliss…until, ugh, the mosquitos join the party. But how do you control the mosquitos without dangerous chemicals that endanger beneficial insects?
Creating a Mosquito Bucket
I’ve recently discovered the Mosquito Bucket of Doom. This DIY-friendly project targets the pesky pests without harming you, your pets or any pollinators. It’s easy to do at home – or join us to make your own kit on Sunday, August 10.
Just another way to easily support our environment.
