For Oregon Wine Month, we are releasing two new Pinot noirs from our Single Block Series – a specialty series that was created to highlight the unique characteristics of specific blocks.

Paul is a longtime Pacific Northwest wine journalist and critic, with a deep understanding of our regions wines. The post includes an interview with our Associate Winemaker, Chris Lubberstedt, alongside detailed and thoughtful reviews of our wines.
The two wines featured this month reflect two slightly different approaches. The first is 100% 114 clone Pinot noir from Block 9. The Center Cut is created by a winemaking technique called “co-fermentation”. In this case, we harvested the five rows on each side of the dividing line of two contiguous blocks, and fermented the fruit together in the same tank.
