As the weather warms, Winter’s Hill is surrounded by a sea of green as trees, bushes, grasses and other plants all spring to life. I may be biased but I definitely think they are all worth seeing in person!
Our Diverse Landscape
Since 2008, Emily has led our ongoing efforts to plant and nurture native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers. This provides habitat for wildlife and beauty for our guests. Last fall, we began a big effort to add more diversity and flowering plants to the grassed area surrounding the winery. Our goal is to transform the lawn into a meadow that supports a diversity of insects, birds, and wildlife.
The Place for Pollinators
In May and July, Emily will be leading Bee Friendly Wine Tours through our landscape and sharing more about our planting experiences. She’ll also be showing off some of the native bee species that make their home here at Winter’s Hill Estate.
Make a reservation for one of the tours, or ask Emily for more information the next time you visit Winter’s Hill.
This is what Oregon sounds like!
Not long ago, I was looking for new music and discovered the playlist 101 Songs of Oregon. It includes music by Oregon artists and/or songs about Oregon – and all are road trip worthy! Curated by Wild Oregon Girl, it’s a mix of new and old, in a variety of styles.
