I predict Harvest 2025 will start the…

Have you ever wondered why a blooming vineyard is not as visually spectacular as a blooming cherry orchard? Grapes, which are self-pollinated, do not need showy petals to attract bees and other pollinators.  The light green and yellow clusters are just a few inches long, tucked amongst the leaves.

As such, winemakers rely on warm sunny weather to ensure successful pollination and a good fruit set. The consistent warm and sunny weather we have experienced through the first half of June means that vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley now have many tiny berries that will develop into delicious fruit throughout the summer.
