Anything seems possible on the first day of Spring – including a chance at winning the NCCA national basketball championship! Yes, March Madness is here and this is one of my favorite times of the year.
While our family was not blessed with the genetics to excel in basketball, we have been fans all my life. Growing up in East Lansing, Michigan, we saw Magic Johnson bring “Showtime” to Jenison Field House long before he arrived in Los Angeles. Recently, Sabrina Ionescu got us hooked on women’s basketball as she put a permanent mark on the history books at the University of Oregon.
CHEERING FOR THE OREGONS
Right now the U of O’s men’s team is peaking just in time for Thursday’s game. And, for the women’s bracket, I am crossing over to cheer for Oregon State, hosting the first two rounds at Gill Coliseum. I’d love to see the Pac-12 go out with a championship this year.
