May is the month that all of Oregon’s wineries work together to share our craft with wine lovers in Oregon and around the country. Here at Winter’s Hill we’re taking the opportunity to expand and develop our tradition of barrel tasting to create the Winemaker’s Anthology.
A Barrel to Bottle Tasting
At this two-weekend event we’ll be sharing the process of selecting our best barrels and creating a delicious blend. We’ll also taste the still developing 2023 Pinot noirs alongside a finished wine so you can experience this evolution for yourself.
QUESTIONS ARE ENCOURAGED
This experience is meant to inspire lots of questions. Each tasting is kept to groups of 12 or less so that everyone can participate in the discussion. This is a great opportunity to learn how our team, vineyard, and winery all contribute to the quality and unique character of our wines.
Whether you are new to wine or you love the Block 8 Wadenswil Clone, we hope you join us May 17-19 or May 24-26. If you can’t make it in person, we’re offering a full kit of samples to taste at home.
Additional Oregon Wine Month Events
To start the month, we are taking our wines to Washington! We are joining 60 other Willamette Valley wineries in Seattle on May 8 for Pinot in the City, a collaborative tasting event. I’ll be featuring our new eco-packs of Pinot noir and Chardonnay, so stop by for a taste.
On May 18, Emily will be leading two Bee Friendly Wine Tours through our landscape. She will be sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm about the native bees. Visit the wine-tasting stations on this tour while your explore the vines, oaks, and flowers.
