Every family has its customs and traditions, and the holidays are a time to pay a little extra attention to the ties that bind us together.

In our family, no single person is in charge of the holiday meals, everyone has a dish to contribute. When I was young, I took my responsibility for the cranberry relish very seriously, and I had an elaborate (and time-consuming) method for preparing it just so. These days I help my father with the turkey, but the broccoli salad is all mine. It’s fun to see each generation finding their way to participate, and frankly, the meal just tastes better when you know you helped make it.

Whatever holiday traditions you treasure, we hope the season is peaceful and enjoyable for you and your loved ones.

Cheers,

Russell
